台灣藝術家聯展 倫敦辦桌
廿一位來自台灣的藝術和設計家，聯手出擊，在倫敦舉辦「Ban-Doh．辦桌 @ FORMOSA」台灣藝術設計聯展。這項由倫敦藝術大學台灣會與校友們共同策劃的活動，將從六月九日開始，在倫敦Candid Arts Trust Gallery展覽一周。
在「辦桌」聯展公開徵選期間，吸引了來自台灣，以及旅居歐洲、北美各地的台灣藝術設計家參與。評選團隊在九十一名創作者、二百多件作品中，最後挑選出廿一名創作者、四十件作品展出。
「辦桌」涵蓋視覺藝術、插畫、攝影、工業設計、服裝設計、以及空間藝術等，多樣跨領域的台灣背景藝術家和設計師的作品。
在插畫部分，畢業於英國布萊頓大學的趙敏慈，以一八八四年來台灣女性社會價值的變遷為主題，細膩歡騰的色彩，表達台灣女性在時代潮流中的角色省思。
去年年底剛拿下美國Gen Art Style前衛時裝獎的古又文，將首次以靜態的方式展出他的得獎作品。
出身台灣阿美族、目前旅居愛丁堡的藝術家優席夫，以一系列以色彩鮮明的人物姿態、探討台灣本土歷史文化。他的作品Can’t Speak，訴說四○到九○年代，台灣政府所頒布的「說國語運動」對非國語族群所造成的影響。

由倫敦藝術大學台灣會與校友們合組成的「福爾摩沙團隊（FORMOSA team）」，策畫一項名為「Ban-Doh．辦桌」的台灣藝術設計聯展，即將在倫敦Angel地鐵站的Candid Arts Trust Gallery正式開展。
「辦桌」台灣藝術設計聯展，由國際專業評審團於200多件作品中評選出21位、總計40件佳作，包括剛拿下前衛時裝獎的古又文、插畫家趙敏慈、服裝設計師劉美惠、藝術家優席夫以及旅英藝術家高翎婷等人作品，都將同時展出。
該展覽除展現台灣文化之外，也強調以作品的原汁原味與觀眾對話。如古又文將首次在倫敦以靜態方式展出他的得獎作品〈Emotional Sculpture〉。旅居愛丁堡的台灣阿美族藝術家優席夫（Yosifu），將以色彩鮮明的人物姿態探討台灣本土歷史文化，其作品〈Can’t Speak〉就是訴說40到90年代間，台灣政府所頒布的「說國語運動」對非國語族群所造成的影響。
「辦桌」台灣藝術設計聯展將於6月9日到13日在倫敦開席。

Dr Chi Su is currently senior advisor of the Prospect Foundation, professor of the Institute of China Studies, Tamkang University and a fellow of the National Security Division, National Policy Foundation. He was formerly Secretary-General, National Security Council, Taiwan (2008-2010).

英國「Formosa 福爾摩沙」企畫推動的台灣藝術國際化，在五月開辦第一場「辦桌」展。活動籌資推動部門總裁嚴士育表示，目前收到超過40位設計師和藝術家約一百餘件作品，當中包含了倫敦藝術大學傑出的台灣學生林鈺倫與古又文等。
英國福爾摩沙企畫在今年開始一系列為台灣設計人籌備展覽活動，第一場即將在倫敦舉行，之後會篩選出優秀作品參加九月的倫敦設計週，力推台灣創作走入國際市場。這個企畫是在去年由一群在英國學藝術與設計的台灣人所發起，目標是在歐洲與全球推廣台灣的藝術與設計。福爾摩沙企畫連結英國藝術學校最大的台灣社群UALTWS，加上英國台僑的贊助，以推廣台灣本土文化為宗旨。將推出一系列的展覽、活動及講座，當中包括了即將舉行的「辦桌」聯展、九月份的福爾摩沙設計展以及計畫中的時裝展和視覺藝術聯展。
目前該企畫還在徵件中，只要具備台灣國籍，或是出身自台灣移民家庭的後代，以及有一定展覽經歷的藝術家，不限媒材，不限年齡全都歡迎。已報名的藝術作品部分已經在福爾摩沙網站公開，有興趣者可以先睹為快。http://www.theformosa.blogspot.com/
