The UAL Taiwanese Society is established to strengthen the connection and bonding between Taiwanese students who are now currently studying in UAL. Furthermore, to help forward applying to opportunities of collaboration and cooperation with the creative industry, and promote Taiwanese Culture. Students from all over the world who are interested in Taiwan and Taiwanese Culture are also welcomed.
SUARTS is the student representative body for the 26,000 students spread across all 6 colleges of the University of the Arts London. Elected student officers and a dedicated staff team provide students with advice, support and representation during their time of study. SUARTS also provides opportunities for students to socialize, network and develop skills through a diverse range of services.

Fashion Fusion Expo is a brand new event set to raise consumer awareness about fashion and sustainability. Showcasing the very best in sustainable designers including Ethical, African, Caribbean, Asian, Oriental and European clothing, shoes and accessories, this two day event aims to attract more than 6000 18-45 year old visitors and consumers and demonstrate to them that fashion can be sustainable.
Fashion Fusion Expo will welcome some of the high street retail shop buyers, press, and celebrities, along with the general public who will also buy direct from participant designers.
The Taiwan Cinefest London is Europe’s largest independent Taiwanese Film Festival showcasing the latest award-winning cinema from around the island. From feature length films to documentaries and shorts, the festival provides a rich snap shot of Taiwanese story telling set against the bustling neon glitz of Taipei in the north all the way to the stunning harbor panoramas of Kaohsiung city in the south.
The 5-day festival, staged at Riverside Studios in London, starts on 17 March and runs through to 21 March 2010 and will include three UK premieres including Ian Lou’s stunning debut “A Place of One’s Own”, award-winning “Sumimasen, Love” by rising young filmmaker Yu-Hsien Lin and the charming dance comedy “Step by Step”.
