為增進台英青年及流行文化交流，駐英台北代表處7月15日安排旅居臺灣之英國「前進樂團」（Transition）在代表處舉行‘英國搖滾樂：臺灣製造
（British Rock Music: Made in Taiwan）’紀錄片發表會，與來賓分享他們在臺灣從事音樂創作工作及生活之點滴。
「前進樂團」於1997年由來自英國 Bristol的Josh和Jess Edbrooke兄弟，以及Steve Dunne成立，他們以「Transition前進」當團名，因為要提醒自己這個樂團要時時進步、改變和前進。樂團的鼓手Josh因之前認識了一位寄宿在他家的留英台灣學生，在完成音樂創作並巡迴歐洲演出幾年之後，2005年他們首度踏入亞洲，並在墾丁春天吶喊主場中獲得廣大樂迷的迴響，因此決定在台北定居
‘British Rock Music: Made in Taiwan’紀錄片敘述前進樂團的音樂如何帶領著他們來到台灣，以及與許多才華洋溢的台灣音樂人合作歷程。樂團成員們想要讓英國觀眾看到他們所認識到的台灣，特別是台灣充滿創意的音樂。故事裡最有趣的部份就是他們為何來到台灣，一開始，。
令人驚喜的是，這三位大男孩居然會說流利的中文，曾經在台灣學過五年中文的他們， 對於台灣更是有一份特別的情感，此次除發表紀錄片外，還要聊在台灣發生的各種趣事。
前進樂團目前已在臺灣發行3張專輯，音樂風格受到愛爾蘭樂團U2的強烈影響，另外也深受英國披頭四（The Beatles）、Radiohead、DC Talk、Delirious、Jeff Buckley、Newsboys、以及Lifehouse的影響，台灣藝人陶喆亦影響該樂團曲風。

There will be a Young Taiwanese Experience Interchange Workshop, which will be taking place in Vienna, Austria from 12th to 15th of August. In order to build an interchange platform, improving the communicating activities between the Taiwanese elites in Europe, we sincerely invite every Taiwanese living, working in different European Countries to join our event and hopefully through this opportunity, you can be acquainted with other fine Taiwanese overseas and a mystery guest will also be invited to perform a impressive speech for us. At the same time, Vienna is a brilliant place for a holiday and a must visit for every oversea visitors. This is an event which will surely provide some great experience and opportunities for you.

Portraits of Taiwan: Taiwan Documentary Festival 2011
This festival aims to illuminate the spirit of Taiwan through the documentary and an exhibition: Portraits of Taiwan. This would be a series of Taiwan Documentary Festivals curated with annual theme. Through a variety of activities, including after-theater talks, art exhibition, workshops, seminars, etc., we hope to provide an in-depth discussion to the selected award-winning Taiwan documentary films. Film experts, producers or directors will be invited to the after-theater discussion, addressing the contemporary political, environmental, and social issues in Taiwan and the parallel issues in U.K and other countries of the world.
This year 2011, the Taiwan Documentary Festival is intended to be a part of wider cultural activity in UK, particularly in celebration of 100th anniversary of Taiwan’s ROC revolution in 1911. The film festival is also part of the joint-cultural activity among all Taiwan Student Societies in the United Kingdom.
台灣群像：台灣紀錄片校園巡迴影展
以 台灣群像的網路肖像展具像化台灣精神。本影展期望以英國大學校園巡迴影展的方式，提供台灣優質紀錄片於英國地區發表的平台，同時也經由對於台灣紀錄片內容 的探討，呈現台灣歷史文化社會脈絡，傳達台灣人生命的韌性與深層人文背景展現不同生命的樣貌。期待以年度主題影展的方式策劃，以建國百年為起點，開始一系 列的年度校園紀錄片巡迴，並配合紀錄片影展活動，在英國建構對於台灣社會與歷史的討論。

一年一度由旅英僑界共同主辦的年度盛會『台灣旅英僑界園遊運動會』又將來臨了!。今年節目豐富，除了田徑與拔河之外，還有很多趣味遊戲及豐盛美味的台灣小吃，歡迎您闔府光臨，共度歡樂時光。

An international event especially for young designers all over the world!
Our workshop team has its own specific themes including industrial design, communication design, traditional crafts, and interior design.
30 workshop teams and 900 next-generation designers will get together in Taiwan and share their inspiring and exciting ideas about design.
This universal design workshop will be held in Chang Gung University and Chang Gung Health and Culture Village, which is the most well-developed elderly nursing home in Taiwan. Based on universal design principles, we will introduce existing legislation, standards and design trends to the workshop trainees. A two-day elderly life experience trip is included in this workshop to give trainees a better understanding of the differences in design for elders. Additionally, the trainees will use elderly simulation equipment to better appreciate their physical limitations. Trainees will be asked to create and design a product for elderly users with new materials sponsored by our collaborator.

由PDAetc科技時尚社群網站與SUROCUK中華民國旅英同學總會聯合主辦的台灣文化美食園遊會攝影比賽於今年三月份圓滿落下帷幕.
參賽作品經過由攝影及文化專家組成的評審團評選，最終選出最佳照片，並評選出十四位幸運得獎者，他們分別是：林姿利，羅捷，楊倚碩，羅彬綺，黃睫尹，林歆培，董少涵，余芷欣，郭麗君，何鎧言，劉易鑫，林暉鈞，黃琦文，阿嘉。根據評審團表示，這十四位獲獎者的作品都從各自不同的角度體現出了台灣文化美食園遊會當日的盛況，十四幅照片都傳遞出了傳統典型的臺灣小吃文化，各有千秋。主辦方負責人也說：“十四位得獎者的作品不僅僅攝影技術優良，也透過鏡頭讓大家重溫了本屆臺灣園遊會的情景，更重要的是傳達出了臺灣小吃文化的魅力。這也是評審團最終確定得獎名單的重要因素”.
台灣文化美食園遊會攝影比賽頒獎典禮將於六月十三號晚上七點半在倫敦蘇活區的Bar Rumba舉行頒獎儀式，當晚會對獲獎者頒發長榮航空倫敦台北來回機票及PDAetc提供的現金等精美獎品。屆時，將會請到這十四名得獎者前往領獎。
主辦方負責人誠摯邀請大家參與六月十三號晚的頒獎活動。他表示，當晚的頒獎儀式不僅是一次頒發獎項的活動，也將是繼台灣文化美食園遊會之後又一次推廣台灣小吃文化的盛會。他歡迎來自各界的友人參加，在聚會上交流心得，並享受由台沛食品公司提供的美食試吃的樂趣。具體活動地點為：Bar Rumba,36 Shaftesbury Avenue, London W1D 7EP, United Kingdom。時間從晚上7:30pm至09:30pm。
