英國里茲大學(University of Leeds)台灣學生會今年首次舉辦校內台灣文化節，學生會將台灣目前最流行的電音舞蹈，人人愛喝的珍珠奶茶，甚至年輕人最愛的海帶拳活動，結合「夜市」概念，以最「台」的方式向當地教職員及學生，呈現本土台灣文化。並融入中國新年與西洋情人節情境，活動中將有春聯書法體驗和月老紅線傳情等互動遊戲，與師生同樂。

台灣里茲大學學生會成立多年，為宣揚台灣文化，但今年首次在校內舉辦台灣文化節。會長劉建廷表示: 「台灣美食、夜市文化和旅遊資訊都非常值得和國際學生們分享，希望藉此推廣我們自己的文化，更讓國際友人認識台灣。

Steve Jobs, co-founder of Apple Inc. and “Technology Godfather” who pioneered the personal computer industry and changed the way people think about technology. The world expresses deep regret and sincere condolences at Steve’s death. Steve was a real fighter – his death has challenged the ultimate meaning of Mastery success and it leads to heated discussions

TCCE-JC will invite the Best-selling business author Max Landsberg on 20th November (Sunday 2:00pm) to host a speech to share his experience and suggests six practical steps for building your career and perhaps achieving Mastery.

His entertaining talk draws graphic lessons from the successes of the Old Masters, and translates those lessons for 21st-Century Mastery.

Max was with strategy consultants McKinsey & Company for 16 years, and was a Partner there and subsequently at international headhunters Heidrick & Struggles. His book The Tao of Coaching , first published in 1996, has become a classic in the field of business coaching, translated into 20 languages.

Max has also authored books on motivation and leadership, and is a Governor of Roehampton University. Earlier, he worked at IBM, Accenture, and Boston Consulting Group after graduating from Cambridge University in Natural Sciences, and from Stanford Business School with an MBA.

現在除了Windows 、Linux、iOS (iPhone, iPad) 與 Android 版之外，現在終於也把最後一塊拼圖補上。雖然現在 PPS 官方網站因為影片授權的問題，很多好看的節目跟電影都無法在中國境外與台灣等地收看，不過還是有些不錯的東西可以無聊時打發一下時間。

昨天推出 Mac 版之後大概測試一下，除了一開始丟出來的那個版本安裝完有點問題之外，後來再補上的這個更新版已經可以正常安裝、播放影片了。整體來說功能算是正常，畫質與流暢度也都還可以，不管操作介面或使用方式其實跟 Windows 版本都差不多，喜歡看影片的 Mac 使用者可以裝來玩玩。

今年是中華民國建國一百年，為了慶祝我們的國家過一百歲的生日，旅英台大校友會將在9月3日舉辦音樂會邀集大家為中華民國祝壽，並且共渡一場豐盛的音樂饗宴。
這場集合業餘和職業高手演出的音樂會還有另外一個目的，就是我們希望利用這場音樂會籌集一筆經費贊助日本東北地震災區的高中生來英國參加研習營，將他們在災區的親身體驗與英國的學生分享。
我們希望能夠通過這場國慶音樂會來彰顯我們臺灣人獨特的人文價值觀，讓人們知道臺灣願意積極加入國際社會、關懷我們的鄰居、在需要的時候幫助我們的朋友。
我們也希望讓受到地震、海嘯、核能洩漏等多重打擊的日本東北地區朋友們知道，也許現在媒體好像不再關注，但是我們臺灣人沒有忘記他們。
以贊助高中生的方式，我們希望達到台日之間的友誼可以向下紮根，更加地牢固、這不是援助，而是我們的關懷。

Our country –The Republic of China, commonly known as Taiwan celebrates the 100th birthday this year.
We NTU alumni UK would like to invite you to join us for a music feast on 3rd of September 2011.
This ROC100 concert not only is the special event for celebrating the Centennial anniversary of ROC, we would also like to make this concert even more meaningful.
The alumni wishes through this concert which will be performed by marvellous and devoted musicians, we will be able to raise some money.
The money we collect from your donation will then fund high school students from Tohoku area Japan to come to UK.
For he or she, then will have a chance to share first-hand experience with the students in UK.
March 11th this year, a huge earthquake hit coastal area in Tohoku prefectures (counties of north eastern area of Japan); it triggered waves of tsunami, swallowed human lives and livelihood, devastated local residents.
However, the nightmare didn’t end there, few days afterward, because of the Fukushima nuclear power plant crisis, Tohoku area has become the world first multiple disaster zone.
After six months, some of the residents are still live in unthinkable condition, even though, Japan is a relatively well-off country, but for the people in Tohoku area they need to know we still care about them, even when the media removed them from the headline.
This is the reason why, the alumni would like to ask you to choose donate £5, £10, £20 or £50.
