CHINA AND TAIWAN RELATIONS: PRESENT AND FUTURE
DR CHI SU, FORMER SECRETARY GENERAL OF THE NATIONAL SECURITY COUNCIL, TAIWAN
CHAIR: DR KERRY BROWN, SENIOR FELLOW, ASIA PROGRAMME, CHATHAM HOUSE
The speaker will discuss the challenges facing the Ma presidency over the next two years, analyse the dynamics of cross straits relations today, and outline the risks and opportunities for greater links with mainland China.
Dr Chi Su is currently senior advisor of the Prospect Foundation, professor of the Institute of China Studies, Tamkang University and a fellow of the National Security Division, National Policy Foundation. He was formerly Secretary-General, National Security Council, Taiwan (2008-2010).
